One-Day Farm Conference

Enhance Your Farm's Future: 3rd Annual
One-Day Farm Conference & Resource Fair.
Organized by BCCD & SEMAP.
Bristol County Conservation District provides technical and financial assistance for
conservation planning and application through the USDA Natural Resources Conservation
Service (NRCS). Through signed cooperator's agreements, BCCD's field agent offers help and
information on how to initiate and carry out good conservation practices. BCCD also
partners with other local, state, and federal agencies to protect the natural resources of the
county.

The focus of the District's work has expanded beyond agriculture, offering assistance with
natural resources management to public, private, urban, suburban and rural landowners.
Examples of our work include:

Conservation Planning

Soil Evaluator's Classes

Partnerships with Westport River Watershed Alliance and Taunton River
Watershed Alliance
- offering grants to farms within these watersheds.

Assistance with NRCS Programs - providing landowners with information on
conservation programs including WHIP, EQIP, WRP, and others.

Building Partnerships - through collaborations with MDAR, NRCS, MACD, and others,
BCCD serves as a voice of farmers in Bristol County.
